Nissan Motor Company Ltd, a Japanese multinational car-manufacturing company ventured into the automotive world way back in the 1930s.
Ever since Nissan Motors started its operations in India in 2005, they have already introduced many models on the Indian roads. The Nissan launches that took place over the next few years included the compact crossover SUV, Nissan X-Trail, the luxury mid-size car, Nissan Teana, the sports car, Nissan 370Z. Nissan cars are also manufactured locally that include the small yet classy hatchback, Nissan Micra, the eye-catching SUV, Nissan Terrano, the remarkably spacious sedan Nissan Sunny and the elegant and strapping MPV, Nissan Evalia. All these models are gaining wide popularity among the Indian car buyers.
Nissan cars are also manufactured at their own manufacturing and production units that are located in Chennai and in Oragadam.
The most affordable model that Nissan India has to offer is Nissan Micra Active (Rs 4,19,490. onwards) and the priciest one is the Nissan 370Z (Rs. 55,50,000).
Nissan had earlier joined hands with the French car-giant, Renault S.A., in 1999 and formed a partnership – the Renault-Nissan Alliance. This partnership took the Japanese manufacturer to new heights in the automotive world.
All the Nissan cars that are presently on sale in India promise a good ride and handling, reliable product value and a pretty decent fuel efficiency figure. Nissan has also included an all inclusive two-year unlimited warranty for all their cars which is considered as a huge advantage in a market that is over sensitive about the after sale services.
One of the upcoming Nissan car models is a compact crossover, the Nissan Qashqai, which has already been launched as the Nissan Dualis in Japan and Australia in 2007. The recently launched Datsun Go is finding many takers given the fact that it is bigger than the existing hatchbacks like the Maruti Alto and Hyundai Eon. This is evident from the size of this car, at 3785 mm, there is much more room inside and the wheelbase is also a generous 2450 mm.
Nissan is incorporating the best available technology to hold down carbon dioxide emissions proving that the Nissan cars are not only known for its classy looks but also for its smart and efficient operations.
This Japanese entrant has been quite valued and commended not only in India but across international boundaries.
